Rebekah Losey

• Have primarily worked at the front-end department of Target, as a Guest Advocate, which has included executing tasks as a Drive-Up team member, Service Desk Advocate, and cashier. These roles require prioritizing the experience of the guest, ensuring to consistently deliver warm, welcoming, and accommodating presentation for each individual.
• Have been assigned by HR as a trainer for all incoming hires, ensuring a positive and supportive onboarding experience for all new team members. Have shown trainees opening procedures, such as the process of handling cash for the pharmacy and service desk registers in the early morning.
• Have worked as both an opener and a closer for the front-end. Although tasks vary for each role, both generally include maintaining a clean, tidy space, handling cash in/or out of registers across the store, double-checking locks, and writing/directing breaks for all front-end team members.
• The skills built at Target have aided in an ability to perform quickly under pressure, especially during tedious tasks, while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for fellow team members and guests.

• Was able to deliver a significantly personalized, attentive, and conscientious experience for all clients. Kussmaul Gallery sat at a unique intersection, as it was an art gallery as much as a gift shop that has served Denison and Granville's community for over 30 years. Participated in the community, which was a privilege.
• Communicated between the artist and his clients frequently, such as arranging painting pick-ups, receipts, and transactions up to $4,000.
• Kussmaul Gallery prioritized a calm, holistic approach to its customer service. Hence, was taught to write all receipts and transactions by hand, using a hand calculator to add tax manually. This transaction method extended to the paintings as well.
• Built longstanding relationships with a plethora of regulars throughout the seasons spent with Kussmaul, further cultivating an environment that could be used as a third space for everyone.
• Was trusted as an opener, closer, and trainer for the gallery. These roles sharpened the skillset essential for the foundation of understanding leadership.
• Carefully handled all inventory, which included working with displays, back-stocking, and inventory count.

Alongside a private online High School experience, I was dual enrolled with Columbus State Community College, in-which I completed several semesters, earning Dean's List and a 4.0 in each academic term. The blended experience gave me an unconventional, albeit structured and accelerated high school experience. It was CSCC, that I explored exposure to various fields, which have led me to my present major and ambitions with The Ohio State University.

I am a current freshman with The Ohio State University. I am more than excited to begin contributing to Newark's campus, both academically and socially.

Furthermore, I am simultaneously working towards The College of Engineering, as I prepare to transfer into Columbus Campus in the autumn semester of 2027, where I will complete my remaining engineering requirements.

At OSU-N, I aim to become even more involved in campus clubs and jobs, not only to serve my classmates, but to extend my exposure to the STEM scene, even on an introductory level.
