• Provide information of purchase orders, location, or budgetary units of agency inventory items (surplus property) to internal and external customers over phone and in person.
• Maintain records of the amount, type, and value of surplus property items on hand; compare clerical computations with physical count of items in stock; adjust errors in counts; prepare inventory reports.
• Respond to a variety of requests for action and information from warehouse users and deliver merchandise.
• Verify items received including the count, compliance with specifications, and purchase order.
• Prepare list of surplus property, delete worn or unusable items, and dispose of remaining items through transfers to other state agencies, cities, counties, school districts, etc.; prepare items to sell through state property accounting procedures.
• Conduct physical inventories of stock in the warehouse.
• Provide assistant and resolve unusual or difficult problems involving warehouse and surplus property policies and procedures.
• Maintain the security of the warehouse and accountability of entrusted assets.
• Pickup surplus property from divisions and locations as requested.
• Operate a forklift, electric pallet truck, manual pallet truck, two-wheel dolly, and other material handling equipment to receive, deliver and store in the warehouse and other storage locations on the agency complex.
• Uncrate/assemble a variety of furniture prior to delivery to various divisions in the agency.
