I started working in a restaurant when I was 16, and worked at the same restaurant untill I was 22. I gained a number of skills and professionalism while at that job. I then decided that I was ready to further my career, and have always been interested in animal care and veterinary medicine so I became a veterinary assistant. In over a year of being an assistant, I decided that I wanted to go further and become a veterinary technician. I am currently enrolled in the Blue Ridge CC Veterinary Technology program, and look forward to first becoming a tech student then a LVT.
