I am in charge of running the public works department daily operations from street maintenance,street signs,park maintenance,all government buildings,park facilities,also in charge of traffic Signals and electrical department,bulky items and graffiti,fleet department. I was in charge of doing the annual budget for the public works department. I also did development of staff,trained and evaluations. I would also do the planning and organize city events. I have 35 staff members 7 different departments. I also organize and plan for city major events. I review and plan with the director on CIP projects review blue prints.
I was in charge of the a small group of 10 employees, we would pour concrete,sidewalks,handicap ramps, foundations. We would also do repairs for pot holes and other street repairs. I would over see facility and building repairs. Completed repairs and maintenance work to company standards. Utilized facility tracking system to keep accurate records of completed repairs, used tools to mount, install, and secure tools. Painted buildings structures. Managed inventory, maintained equipment and cleaned work areas. We would also set forms for concrete and finish.
The company did the maintenance for gas stations, Shell,Arco,Chevron,USA gas stations. We did new construction gas stations the company did all the maintenance on equipment and facilities.i had a small group of guys that i was in charge of i poured concrete and finishing.
