• This project involved the development of a 10 bed residential treatment facility from the initial start-up, state licensure, development of a comprehensive treatment team, and launching of the program from the ground up.

• This Director of Outpatient Services reports to the Chief Operating Officer and oversees the provision of outpatient treatment services to patients.
• Responsible for the management of three inter-related programs: 1. Partial Hospitalization Program (Adolescent, Mature adult, Adult), 2. Intensive Outpatient Program (Adolescent, Mature Adult, Adult), 3. Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program. Program census average is 55 patients in daily attendance with a overall enrollment of 60 to 70 patients.
• Responsible for the overall coordination, administration, and management of services, ensuring regulatory compliance while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring that excellence in customer service is provided to patients, outpatient & inpatient staff, referral sources and management.
• Delivers a high degree of clinical knowledge and competence as well as management/business skills and knowledge of community based behavioral health care.

Intake and Assessment Management:

• Responsible providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and crisis intervention to inpatient step-down and community referrals who present for psychiatric evaluation at adult and adolescent PHP/IOP
• Conduct initial clinical assessments and collaborate with treating physicians, nursing and psychiatric case management team to plan and direct appropriate treatment
• Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups
• Act as a liaison between outpatient, inpatient, social services team and the hospital psychiatrists to identify & assess patients appropriate for partial hospitalization outpatient level of care

Program Management:

• Work closely with the program directors to ensure unified implementation of the outpatient program design, expectations of clinical staff, and program operations for Adult PHP/IOP, Dual Diagnosis, Mature Adult, Adolescent PHP/IOP, PTSD Track, and Chemical Dependency
• Work closely alongside program director to ensure the success of program by giving strict attention to program protocol flow, staff responsibility, retention efforts, and continuity of care
• Works closely with the clinical staff, assisting in clinical case management and coordination of managed care authorizations for treatment.

Business Analytics & Marketing/Business Development:

• In charge of compiling daily census business numbers and presenting at daily care meetings to CEO and directing team
• Track business analytics and report to program director. Credited for increasing census 20% in 2012 compared to 2011, and for a 26% increase in census the first four months of 2013 compared to first four months of 2012
• Represents Fremont Outpatient Programs by maintaining relationships in the community, oversees and collaborates with marketing director/ team to implement internal & external marketing campaigns to drive business expansion goals
