As an accomplished elementary school teacher, I have clan established history of improving student outcomes by working closely with colleagues and parents whose children are in my classroom. My ability to adapt lesson plans to meet students at their level has resulted in consistent academic and social growth. Students in my classroom are given the skills required to learn how to be self-directed and critical thinkers learners. These essential skills will prepare them for their school years ahead and help them understand what it means to be a global citizen in the future.

• Improved student reading ability by 1.3 years or more annually, as measured by the Fontas and Pinelll reading test
• Commended for exceptional teaching and support to students, as a result, received the CREC "Shining Star Award."
• Awarded the "CT After School Program of the Year" and was highlighted on NBC in 2013 for the Woodside Running Club
• A guest lecturer at Saint Joseph College to share how Data Teams and PBIS can be used to improve student performance and classroom behavior
• Constructed Science Curriculum "Animals and Their Adaptations"

As an assistant coach for the Simsbury Soccer Club and the  Simsbury Little League, I  helped to coordinate practices, communicate with players and parents, and assisted in the teams' operations during games.   

As an educator, I aim to improve student outcomes and reflect on my craft daily. I believe in taking a balanced approach to education focused on academics and social growth. It is essential to utilize professional development opportunities, examine student data, and work closely with families and colleagues to achieve this goal. It is through this process that each student's growth is achieved.
