Managed daily lab operations for 25 bed Critical Access Hospital. Supervised 7 FTE's and 2 PRN employees that performed waived, moderate and high complexity testing in chemistry, hematology, blood banking, microbiology, coagulation and urinalysis. Filled in on shifts to cover staff absences including days, nights and weekends. Ordered supplies to keep lab sufficiently stocked. Assisted in troubleshooting of analyzers and QC. Selected, assigned, submitted and reviewed proficiency testing materials and results. Performed staff evaluations and competency assessments. Developed procedures and participated in hospital wide quality assurance projects. Reconciled lab charges daily and researched any rejections.
