  • MAJOR DUTIES
  • Execute a high degree of discretion, initiative, and independent judgment as to a course of action in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • React quickly, efficiently, and calmly under stressful and emergent situations.
  • Exercise sound judgment in initiating and coordinating responses to 911 calls and other emergency situations that may affect the lives and safety of the public, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel.
  • Receive 911 calls, evaluate the need for service, type in a call for service into the CAD System
  • Keep the informant on the line until a unit goes 10-97 (deputies arrive).
  • Update the field units via the CAD or voice over LTAC7 until all the available information is received and units no longer need to have the caller available.
  • Look up incident history via the MDD when requested by field units, for critical incidents or for outside agencies.
  • Monitor the Text to 911 System and answer any incoming text messages.
