Summary Of Achievements
Enhanced South Bend's Wastewater GIS map by adding numerous layers of sewer data.
Located and removed over 1100 cubic yards of debris and major blockages from South Bend’s 96-inch interceptor sewer.
Used data analysis and visualization skills to nearly eliminate dry weather overflows from South Bend's wastewater collection system.
Created a database of over 17,000 chemical, microbial and radiological contaminants that might threaten drinking water and/or be found in wastewater.
Researched pharmaceutical parent and metabolite compounds and prepared a database.
Developed research plan and proposal for advanced wastewater treatment system designed to treat emerging contaminants.
Developed strategy for regionalization of Indiana’s wastewater treatment plants.
Published article in the German American Water Technology Magazine.
Received a grant in 1991 from the American Council on Germany to travel to Germany to study German water and wastewater treatment.
