Nov 2, 2016 American Public Health Association (APHA) Scientific Research Presentation: At the American Public Health Association’s 2016 Annual Meeting & Expo my scientific research was presented. APHA’s Annual Meeting serves as the home for public health professionals to convene, learn, network and engage with peers. My presentation, titled "Influences of Peer Pressure and Relationship Knowledge on Sexual Behaviors of Hispanic/Latino Youth" was presented at session 5015.0, Public Health Young Professionals and Students: Improving the Health of Latino Communities.
Wrote professional proposals for inception of The School of Health and Medical Science program submitted to Houston ISD, which received approval in July 2012. Authored a grant to receive an award of $2.5K from the Houston CPA Society and championed curriculum design and implementation of the newly approved program.
