I graduated with my B.S. in Biology earlier this year and intend to apply to medical school in the near future. I have a strong interest in nutrition and preventive healthcare and I am looking for a job where I can serve my community, gain experience in the healthcare field, and learn and grow as an aspiring physician. I am a very hard worker, a team player, and committed to serving others with excellence.
I volunteered as an administrator for a women's religious organization. In my role, I kept track of attendance, updated electronic information for the attendees, handled donations, and helped with registration, sign-ups, and set-up/tear-down for the church on meeting nights.
I served on a team of 20 to provide backpacks and school supplies, food, and faith-based teaching to impoverished children and families in Costa Rica. While there, we partnered with local pastors to distribute food and supplies, and ran a program for school-aged children that we designed as a team.
I volunteered with a non-profit organization called Kids On a Mission during 2019 where we did various service projects in the community and raised funds to provide children and families in Africa with clean water. We also provided local kids in need with backpacks and school supplies in Fresno and Kerman.
I served as a youth leader for girls in junior high and high school on Wednesday nights and as a children's ministry volunteer for pre-k aged children on Sundays. My role involved teaching, assisting with activities, and developing/modifying lesson plans.
I volunteered as a leader for a public speaking organization called the Institute for Cultural Communicators. I received my public speaking training through the same organization. In my leadership role, I helped students develop their public speaking skills and formulate speeches which they presented to their community at various venues. I led team-building activities for groups within ICC which helped them learn how to develop and present speeches as a team.
