Summary

Hello, my name is Riley and I would love to join you. I don't have much work experience, but the experience I do have is extremely valuable and has helped shape me into the hard-working person I am now. I think I would be a great addition to this establishment because I'm energetic and positive. I will help uplift my coworkers and leave customers feeling welcome and appreciated! Efficacy is something I always strive for. I'm always looking for a way to make the workload less stressful for me and my peers, especially when experiencing a busy day to provide the best service for employers, employees and customers. I am really excited to get started working. I really enjoy being in this kind of environment. I feel so happy and fulfilled when I am working, especially when it's an amazing place like this. I have only worked in food service so my skills are a bit limited towards that field but I am a quick learner and am ready/receptive for correction and guidance. My most recent job was with the Walt Disney Company in their Disney World Resorts food courts. I was participating in an 8-month internship through the Disney College program. Over my internship, I learned many food service skills. Some of my training involved taking classes for food safety and the serving and preparation of alcoholic beverages. On a weekly basis, I would stock inventory, replace soda pumps and condiment pumps, work the registers, serve and prepare food, and clean both the kitchen and eating areas. Working for Disney, I learned of the importance of customer service. The Walt Disney World Company's expectations for quality of service are famous worldwide; the way I have benefited from having these policies in the workplace is astronomical. The way I function and my daily life are so much more organized, and my relationships are work-wise and friendship wives have benefited. Working there, our leaders stressed the importance of having a positive and personable demeanor regardless of your day to always be amenable to guests, ensuring they get the best experience from our service. I've been faced with my fair share of crazy situations, and through this company's training, I was able to dissolve the situation, leaving everyone cheery and feeling better. Though this was my first professional job, I am no stranger to hard work and leadership positions. I was heavily involved in my schools and community performing arts in theater. Being the president of my theater department in high school, I had to schedule and plan meetings, keep charge of all of our members, as well as help organize and lead a large group of people towards the common goal of producing a quality performance for the community. Some of my responsibilities with that were manual labor helping build a set, working with tools, and heavy lifting. Responsibility wise, I was showing up nightly and in a timely fashion for rehearsals as well as adjusting my attitude regardless of my mood for the day to be someone who people wanted to work with when I was in a professional setting. Something else that is extremely important in that community is knowing your part, either knowing your lines, knowing the dance moves, or knowing what notes to sing to make sure that you are only helping to uplift the group and not pull them down. So though I don't have the most professional experience, I am a firm believer that there are beneficial things you can take from every single experience you have, professional or not. These things will help you guide how you function in life, how easy you make it for other people to work with you, and how enjoyable you can make any experience.
