  • Human Resources and School Operations for Murfreesboro City School System
  • Directly supervise the Human Resources, Transportation, Maintenance, Custodial, Security, Before/After School Care program, and Nursing departments
  • Directly supervise four HR employees and six department heads
  • Recruit and recommend hiring teachers and other employees of a 2,000-employee school system
  • Investigate discrimination and harassment claims and make recommendations for disciplinary actions to be taken
  • Developed and maintain employee handbooks
  • Responsible for all employee benefits such as employee insurance, retirement, sick and vacation leave, etc.
  • Member of the senior leadership team which develops strategic plans for the future of the district

Worked closely with city officials, school board members, central office staff and school administrators to ensure the school district operated smoothly and efficiently while maintaining and enhancing its status as one of the state's most excellent school districts.

Former two-term school board member: This experience has helped me become uniquely qualified to assist school districts with human resources and employment decisions and challenges.

During the course of my career, I have held a variety of teaching and HR leadership positions in a manufacturing, automotive and scholastic organizations.

Throughout my adult life, I have coached high school basketball as I enjoy helping young people develop athletic and leadership skills through sports.
