Throughout my high school years, I worked at Laurel Hall Elementary School in an after school day care program. As I look back on that job, I would rate it as my favorite. I worked with 4th, 5th and 6th graders, helping them with homework, providing snacks, playing games with them (indoor and outdoor), and generally providing them with a safe, fun, environment.
In 1980 I began a career in the grocery industry. Little did I know that I would stay with that job for 37 years. During those years, I pursued a Bachelors degree in an attempt to become a school teacher. I achieved the degree but I was struggling with an illness at the time and could not complete my student teaching. After my health was restored, I considered becoming a librarian until I realized how much more education I would need and gave up that idea. My interest now is in working with children again OR working in a library.
Reading and Writing and Photography are some of my favorite activities. .
Since I've been retired, my husband and I have bee enjoying travel in our RV. We have made trips every year and have covered most of the U.S.
