Assessed and tore down Hydraulic Cylinders. Utilized air tools, hydraulic tools, basic hand tools, torches, and press machines. Once the cylinder had been torn down and placed onto a wooden pallet, I used a forklift to send it to the next station of the process.
As a Boat Crewman that was apart of the Boating Safety Unit of North Alabama, my duties involved responding to water based emergencies and nation wide aid. We were tasked with providing Alabamians with basic knowledge of boating safety and common state/local laws. We provided vessel inspections and classes to obtain your boating license. Under circumstances where the United States had been hit by hurricanes we were also tasked by the Homeland Security and FEMA to respond to give aid.
As a Rail Road Maintenance Crew Member my duties were to inspect incoming rail cars that entered our rail yard to check for damages or defects in the rail cars. Once a rail car was found to need repairs, a engine would push the car into a shop and I would begin my process. The air system that operated the brakes would be tested for operation and leaks. The brake pads would be replaced. The running boards on top would be inspected for damages and be replaced if so. The wheels, couplers, knuckling, decaling, paint, and hand braking system would be inspected for damages and fixed if so.
