Accountable for the selection, training and coordination of a highly proficient ophthalmic and optical staff at the Florida Key's longest established ophthamology clinical/surgery practice and optical shop. Medical Record keeping

compliance and training of all current HIPPA regulations, filing of patient records through EMR system manually and maintained all necessary professional licenses to comply with all state and county laws and regulations.

Payroll and employee benefits administration:

Filed all reports with the Department of Labor as well as week to week employee payroll checks.

Accounts receivable, payable:

Responsible for all bank deposits and the payment of all office bills and account maintenace.

Relinquished position to pursue other professional opportunities.

Took control of an underperforming optical and optometric practice in Key West, FL. Increased gross and net sales immediately and continually for over 6 years until the optometric doctor did not renew his contract with Eckerd Optical.

Coordinated with insurance providers to verify coverage and complete accurate claim submissions for patients.

Managed inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of lenses, frames, contact lenses, and accessories.

Educated patients on proper eyewear usage and maintenance, ensuring long-lasting functionality of glasses.

Trained new employees on industry best practices, company policies, and equipment operation to maintain a high standard of service.

Aided in the opening of a fledgling Optometric & Optical shop. Served as an apprentice Optician as I trained under my sister, Valerie Albert, OD and attended and graduated from Erie College with an

Associates Degree in Opthalmic Dispensing and passed the NY State Boards in 1994.
