The Senior Outreach/Intake Specialist will perform the following duties in both the PACE Energy headquarter office and in field sites:

· Work closely with the Office Operations Supervisor and other team members to expand the programs' outreach efforts.

· Contact housing property owners, management companies and/or property managers to promote, solicit their participation and obtain their written service agreements and/or memoranda of understanding to participate in the Local Utilities, State and Federal weatherization programs provided by PACE.

· Perform pre-site evaluation of multi-unit buildings to determine the buildings’ HVAC/ECIP and all possible feasible measures and properly inform building/property owners and/or managers about potential energy efficiency measures that may be installed in the units occupied by eligible applicants.

· Inform property owners and/or managers of any existing structural/health & safety issues that may prohibit full weatherization/EE measures or services.

· Collaborate with other outreach staff to set up intake and outreach events at community organizations, schools, churches and other locations where potential eligible households may participate.

· Build and maintain good relationships with property owners/managers, clients, and community organizations.

· Conduct presentations and workshops in a classroom-type setting to inform clients about PACE EE Programs and to explain the criteria to qualify, educate and explain the benefits of taking advantage of these programs and save energy to encourage them to participate in these programs.

· Canvas PACE service territories to find and enroll new qualified single and multi-unit dwellings for Weatherization services.

· Represent PACE professionally in community events, meetings, media events or appearances, etc. to promote and disseminate information about PACE programs and its energy-efficiency services to qualified clients.

· Maintain excellent record of property owners, property management companies, and community organizations for future outreach and intake efforts.

· Assign and schedule intake activities to intake specialists to collect/sign up eligible households, complete intakes and gather required documentation to avail of the weatherization program services.

· Assist the intake and WX window staff to ensure they are properly explaining the benefits of weatherization and promoting the WX program to walk-in customers.

· Act as liaison between subcontractors and property owners/managers to ensure clear communication and understanding of the program requirements, application procedure and possible measures or services that will be installed in the eligible property.

· Provide energy conservation education and energy-saving information, as well as financial budgeting tips to eligible clients.

· Attend to clients at the lobby window to provide them with program information and solicit their participation in the weatherization program and collect intakes/applications, as needed.

· Conduct intake sessions at eligible buildings, as needed.

· Introduce all other PACE programs to eligible clients.

· Support outreach and intake staff by assisting in outreach events, informing potential eligible households of program services and answering any questions the public may have.

· Employment will require working 75% field work and 25% office work

· Execute other related duties that may be assigned from time to time. There is a possibility that these duties may become a permanent part of the job.

  • The Program Assistant will perform assigned functions in both the PACE EES headquarter office and in field sites. The successful applicant must be able to:

    • Work closely with Weatherization Program Manager and other team members;

    • Conduct CSD Energy Audits as well as review and follow up with assessors for the accurate completion of energy audits;
    • Communicate with appropriate staff to ensure the accurate and effective implementation of approved energy audit measures;
    • Provide energy conservation education and energy-saving information, as well as financial budgeting to eligible clients;
    • Introduce all other PACE programs to eligible clients;
    • Know program goals and requirements and ensure compliance to funding sources’ policies, guidelines and procedures;
    • Attend and pass all training and/or seminars required by funding sources ;
    • Closely work with pre-and onsite staff to insure all feasible/non-feasible measures are thoroughly explained to eligible clients;
    • From time to time, fill in for program staff and perform other field-related duties including acting as crew leader, assessor and inspector, as needed;
    • Review, input CSD Energy Audit, follow up with assessors for accurately completion of energy audit.
    • Responsible communicating with appropriate staff to effective implementing approved energy audit measures.
    • Observe safety procedures in accordance with PACE, Cal OSHA and Workmen’s Compensation guidelines;
    • Provide support to outreach and intake staff.
