Work History

Service Lead

Hexcel Corporation
Salt Lake City, UT
09.2017 - Current

When I bid over to the Shipping/Receiving group, I was looking for a challenge to feed my enjoyment of learning new things. I have become the "go to" guy whenever anything needs to be fixed as the purchasing department can and will attest to. I always keep in mind that my actions can create problems for many people down the line. I am the first line to catch errors in the incoming materials. I have learned all about the vendors and have learned how to identify the various chemicals, fiber and cloth part numbers as we have so many things that appear to be the same but are very different. Many of these include dangerous chemicals and i have learned the proper PPE that is necessary incase of exposure. I help my coworkers to stay safe while handling chemicals as they sometimes come in leaking. I have a good relationship with the environmental department and help them clean the mess to contain it. Some of my core values are earning a paycheck while helping anyone I see that needs it and making sure everyone gets home safe.

Utility Lead

Hexcel Corporation
Salt Lake City, UT
01.2012 - 08.2017

I worked as a Utility lead for the A350 building specifically CMIX3. In this role, I was charged with stocking and feeding the lines with supplies and raw materials. I helped the film line rotate breaks as I was expected to be a production lead in the production lead's absence. In this role, I learned how to build vessels and tear down the extruder to help with run changes. I would go up to the vessel deck and build the mixes so the operators didn't have to step away from a running line. This was a very good opportunity to learn various lines in Matrix as i took forces from every line in Matrix and at one point, I was benchmarked to a lead on every building's line.

Process Lead

Hexcel Corporation
Salt Lake City, UT
01.2010 - 01.2012

When I became a Tower 1 lead, I was an on probation process specialist. I excepted the challenge and jumped to a tower that i was not familiar with as I started on Tower 3. I learned my new seasoned crew and line. This was a challenge for me as I was the "new guy" to this line and was responsible for people that have worked on the line for years. There was many challenges in this role because the people under me were bidding for the lead. I showed them my work ethic and earned their respect and showed them that we will work together and be successful.

I learned the clerk position and trained my replacement when my supervisor made me the shift leadman. I was responsible for 11 palletizers, five forklift operators and the clerk. I was responsible to rotate everyone out for breaks and lunch. In this role, I had to report any machinery issues.
