Summary
I began working construction in 2022 at Cavco. I started out learning how to frame out roofs. I did that for about 5-6 months. Then I learned how to Sheetrock roofs and walls. Using tape and using joint compound for seams. I learned that for another 5-6 months. From there I moved to “Top Wire” which taught me how to run wire through walls and through the roof. Connecting can lights, washer/dryer machines, smoke detectors, and etc. I learned different gauges of wire and how they are used. I learned this for about a year. Next, I learned roofing. This taught me how to lay wood sheets on top of trusses. I learned how to frame and deck dormers. I did this for another year. During 2024 I picked up another job at Dennys. There, I learned how to cook and good communication skills with team members and customers. I have been working 80-85 hours a week between both job which I have been doing for about 2 years.
