- During my time with the division, I have excelled in my role as a maintenance worker. I have a solid understanding and furthermore familiarized myself in the practice of all the critical steps and safety precautions in completing pipeline repairs, as well as any task that gets thrown my way. Also, I have become very proficient in all the tasks involving using gunite to resurface canal lining. I have been continuously educating myself with the district’s vast infrastructure and the way it functions.
- Stepped in as crew supervisor on multiple occasions, safely performing pipeline repair and gunite jobs, serving as a go-to resource for team advice and suggestions.
- My skills don’t just end with pipeline and gunite jobs, I often operate safely and skillfully various pieces of equipment, most often being backhoes and excavators. I was privileged to be able to operate a paddle scraper on the recently completed Ceres Main reservoir. I recently became auto crane certified as well.
- I have also been involved in deep well pump overhauls, including de-energizing and pulling motor, pulling pump turbine with multiple sections of shaft. I have also been a part of many reinstallations. I have also wired the motors back up and rebuilt the oil drip system.

- Performed all road maintenance tasks, including large projects such as road overlays, culvert pipe replacement, sidewalk projects, and guardrail overhaul, ensuring safety and effectiveness.

- Complete start to finish set up of modular homes, I was hands on in every step of the process. Preformed base rock lot preparation to engineered grade specs. Poured concrete foundations to engineered specs, poured reinforced retaining walls as well as reinforced solid slab foundations, all done to spec and conforming to state and localized standards. Work cooperatively with drivers to set and level homes on said foundations. Homes set on base rock lots were set with properly spaced cinderblocks on pressure treated lumber. I would lag home halves together via floor joists below the home, and truss ridge beam on roof, and shingle seam. I would build stair sets as well as porches to customer’s desire. I would also build from scratch ten by ten storage sheds, with fire rated cement siding and facia boards due to proximity to homes. I would plumb sewer lines and water lines to specs, as well as electrical connections. I would pour concrete driveways and walkways of various sizes and lengths, to customers desire and to engineered grade. Also, served as maintenance staff to a 40-unit apartment complex. Built fences, gates, repair roofs, repair wall damage, also complete unit overhaul for tenant turnover.

- Safely operated high volume food processing equipment on a rotating shift basis, took product samples and adjusted equipment using basic as well as complex controls to maximize production while maintaining product consistency. Became extremely familiar with circular control charts as a means to monitor and maintain. Watched over and guided a small crew of employees consisting of lift drivers, line operators and clean up personal. Also, on a seasonal basis ran a garlic seed preparation operation where I supervised a large group of inspectors, bag filling operators, and lift drivers.
- Also I preformed preventive maintenance on all plant equipment, as well as machinery failure troubleshooting and repairs. Equipment I completely overhauled included single phase and three phase electrical motors up to 480v, gearboxes of various size powering conveying systems, auger/trough systems, water/product pumps, milling machines, and high output natural gas burners including ignition components and circulating/exhaust fan systems. Fabricated plant equipment safely using all metal fabrication tools and industrial maintenance tools; welders, torches, saws, grinders, drills, wrenches, presses, sheers, pullers, etc. Safely used forklifts, skip loader tractor, shuttle trucks, boom lift. Kept highly accurate records of anything that occurred during my workday, including any changes I made to the processing equipment and anything that broke down and what was done to get it going and time/labor involved.
