Rob Spence

Falls Church,VA

Summary

Proven teacher and communicator who is passionate about developing young men into future leaders. I have excelled at teaching the art of offensive football and inspiring players to reach to their highest possibilities in every area of their lives.

Having coached at virtually every level of college football and experienced the challenge of being a Head High School coach I possess an uncommon perspective about the profession and vocation of "Coaching". Few people have such a vast resource of experience.

Most significant in the approach is a deep faith that inspires one to coach the mind, body and soul of those I am responsible.

Additional Information

Have extensive experience lecturing/teaching and consulting, as well as clinic demonstrations at some of the top venues in America. These include Mega Clinics with Glazier, Nike Coach of the Year, The Big New England, Lone Star, Ohio State Coaches Clinic, Florida State Coaches Clinic and countless private consultations.

I have developed countless NFL&CFL players, All Conference and All League players throughout my tenure. Most notably, NFL Quarterbacks- Charlie Whithurst, Bruce Gradkowski,Luke McCown, Gio Camazzi,Scott Milanovich, Tavares Bolde(CFL),Brian Jones (AFL), Rocky Butler(CFL) and Will Proctor(CFL)

Community Service & Faith Outreach Activities include Fellowship of Christian Athletes, speaking throughout South Carolina and the United States. While at Toledo I was active in Big Brothers. I also Founded and led the Coaches Bible Study while at Toledo and assisted with the players bible study. My wife and I assisted in the development of the first ever FCA huddle at Syracuse University. I also coordinated the elementary community reading program while at Toledo. While at Toledo,Tenn Chattanooga and Georgetown I coordinated the team weekly Chapel, organizing speakers, guiding the student-athletes and ministering to the needs of our teams in this area.

Has a Head High School coach I have been involved in "turn-arounds" and "rebuilds". Both HS programs have enjoyed the benefit of establing a deep foundation and culture that allowed both programs CONTINUED success after years of futility. Building a tradition at both IONA PREP and Chattanooga Christian School are some pinnacles of my career. "Tradition cannot be inherited, it is gained only through great labor" T.S. Elioit

Most of my college/university experience has been lived out in the world of the "Have Nots" or places without great tradition. Even Clemson, with all its apparent advantages, was very "down" when I took over the responsibility of rebuilding the offense. Before my arrival the Clemson offense was dead last in every statistical category- four years later Dabo Sweeney had something he could build on. My experience at Toledo involved a complete overhaul of their offensive system-The Evidence speaks for itself. The strong tradition of great offensive football still exist today.
