As a member of the Board of Directors of Homeward Pikes Peak, we oversee the health and direction of this valuable community non profit organization. We strive to empower our CEO Beth Roalstad to provide her with the best support to strengthen her ability to maximize HPP's positive impact on our community. As Board Secretary, I record the BOD Meeting Minutes, and serve on the Executive Committee.
Collaborate with Pastor Jack Garcia on how to best serve our Congregation's spiritual needs, and community Church Outreach. Occasionally serve as a stand in for the Pastor delivering sermons. Regularly give short messages, conduct Bible Studies, and minister to the prayer needs of our Congregants.
Oversaw the annual intake and distribution of $3 Million of GIK (material donations) to Springs Rescue Mission. Responsible for scheduling pick ups and deliveries. Maintaining all SRM fleet vehicles, updating insurance and DMV considerations. Oversaw the SRM Store providing for the needs of the homeless and underserved, with over 100 clients weekly. Supervised as well as trained a crew of 2 staff members and 6-8 Hope program clients and people in recovery programs to accomplish this task. Acted as the driver trainer for all SRM drivers, as well as a OSHA forklift operator trainer. Cultivated partnering agencies, Churches, non profits etc. as well as internal SRM Ministries for distribution on donated goods. Cultivated relationships with clients in recovery, mentoring them on pathways tp transform their lives. Did morning Biblical devotionals when asked, and other tasks that leadership might request. SRM is a faith based non profit serving Colorado Springs.
