  • Hired at National Credit Services to assist in getting Authorization to Operate (ATO) for Department of Education Private Collection Agency (PCA) contract. Prior attempt was quite unsuccessful.
  • Since joining NCS, our company has successfully achieved 3 Department of Education ATOs, most recently in March of 2021. At times, virtually single handedly as personnel turnover and staffing levels have, at times, been challenging.
  • Maintained compliance with NIST 800-53R4, ED Binding Operational Directives (BODs) and all other pertinent regulations to maintain operational conditions as contractually required.
  • Maintained Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for all open findings, ensured that they were properly documented and closed in the required timeframes. Many of these findings were vendor related which required working with the vendor to resolve the issue.
  • Implemented and maintained DISA-STIG standards for baseline configurations across NCS infrastructure. Including but not limited to Windows 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, SQL 2014, SQL 2016, etc.
  • Maintained internal Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) for vulnerabilities and measured performance against SLAs for remediation. Ensured that all networked devices were scanned and remediated at least monthly.
  • Developed policies and procedures to conform to NIST guidelines and ensure that proper security measures were in place.
  • Specified, purchased and implemented new data centers, including all housed technology. (switches, firewalls, desktops, servers, VMWare ESXi, VCenter, VOIP, etc...) in two locations (Bothell, WA and Dallas, TX).
