Maintaining any Bexar County maintained roads, drainages and right of ways

• Organizing meetings and managing databases
• Dealing with correspondence, complaints and queries
• Supervising and monitoring the work of employees
• Managing office budgets
• Liaising with Staff, Suppliers, Contractors, Commissioners, Homeowner Association's (HOAs), and the Public
• Coordinator over the Mosquito Program and serving as a representative for Bexar County at any Mosquito Surveillance Committee Meetings
• Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
• Delegating tasks to Employees/Staff
• Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
• Using a range of software packages such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Cartegraph OMS, ArcGIS, Zoom, and Dropbox
• Preparing letters, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and responding to emails
• Attending meetings with Senior Management
• Assisting the organization’s HR Staff by keeping personnel records up to date and Organizing induction programs and skills tests for new hires
• Responding as emergency response to weather events such as Rain/Snow/Ice Events, down trees, flooding, road closures, positive mosquito results and working closely with Emergency Management, Fire Department and the Sheriff's Office

• As a Pesticide Applicator I would control the growth of weeds and the population of pests by spraying chemicals
• Daily logs while out on the field and entering data into our Cartegraph Software and spread sheets to better streamline operations and prioritized tasks.
• Other day to day duties may include operating heavy equipment, dump truck hauling, and tanker hauling, manual labor such as: maintenance in water channels and residential areas, mowing, paving, and cement work
• In addition, this job requires you to be adaptable to many changes quickly
