Project Description:

Line of business: ‘Custody’

  • TCS Bancs was implemented for CITIBANK in Jun 2019 to process end to end Income events wherein the inflight events were migrated from Bancs older V4 version to Bancs V14 version. And the Corporate Actions events processing went live in Jun 2021.
  • TCS Bancs is the SWIFT Ready, industry-leading corporate actions automation solution tailored to address the straight-through processing (STP) needs of a financial institution which processes end-to-end Corporate Action Events covering 70+ event types.
  • For CITIBANK, Bancs is receiving Incoming announcements from CITIBANK in-house systems CAPRI (Income events) and EMC (corporate action events) after scrubbing and all Payments feeds, agent related communications for CA events happen directly with DTCC and FED. These messages are firstly consumed by Bancs Service integrator layer and after the first level validation at SI (Message format/content validation) these are passed to Bancs other modules to create announcement and processing events in system.
  • Along with corporate action processing Bancs has implemented EUR (End user reporting) for CITIBANK where users can configure Daily/Monthly/Weekly reports as per their convenience and then these reports will be generated automatically as per frequency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivered comprehensive UAT and production support, ensuring timely resolution of issues raised by the operations team
  • Analyzed and recreated production issues in lower environments to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Supported a wide range of Bancs modules, including Announcement Capture, Event Information Management, and Claims Management
  • Collaborated with offshore teams to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth sprint planning and execution

  • SGPM Scrubbing milestone:

In this phase SOCGEN used only scrubbing engine of TCS Bancs CA and main purpose was to scrub the information received from multiple custodian and data providers in market and finally send a golden copy from Bancs to SG for further CA processing.

  • FFT (Frankfurt) /UK Milestone:

The purpose of this phase was to implement end to end CA processing for customers of SOCGEN that belongs to Germany and UK respectively

  • SGPM milestone:

This was a major milestone where all the clients were migrated to TCS Bancs to use end to end CA processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developed and tested interfaces to support the migration of clients to TCS Bancs, including scrubbing and position-tracking interfaces
  • Conducted parallel functional testing while developing interfaces, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Supported UAT and provided on-site troubleshooting during testing phases in Paris, collaborating with clients to resolve issues promptly
  • Coordinated with offshore teams to resolve defects and ensure customer expectations were met
