US Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Belvoir EPG South Loop Road Bridge, Virginia

Cad designer assisting with the preparation of cad drawings for preliminary and final design of a five-span pre-stressed concrete bulb-T bridge over a small stream and wetlands area at the Fort Belvoir Engineering Proving Ground (EPG). The total length of the bridge is 300 feet. The bridge will accommodate two lanes of traffic and a 14’-0” wide multi-use trail. The pier bents will have driven concrete shafts, and the abutments will be of semi-integral design. Since the bridge is on a military facility, it will have several security features, such as extensive lighting and fencing.
