Worked as a member of a multidisciplinary team to assist unit staff of varying levels of expertise in implementing and sustaining support guidelines using Evidence Based Practices, including, but not limited to: Person Centered practices, Co-occurring treatment, Trauma Informed Care, Positive Behavioral Supports, Motivational Interviewing, and Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery (E-IM&R) on an inpatient basis to patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Additionally, the Behavioral Assistant works with the treatment team to provide quality person-centered care to patients as specified on individualized treatment plans, maintains a safe environment, and provides active treatment and behavioral, and social support to patients under the clinical supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
