Cuba November 2003
Traveled throughout Cuba with a group of Pittsburgh City School Teachers and Administrators to
learn about the educational system in Cuba and strengthen the bond of the two sister cities. Upon
returning, I was asked to present to the Professors and the Center for Latin American Studies
students about my travels, experiences and education in Cuba.

In 2002, I was accepted into a program at the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Latin American Studies. With
this group of educators from the Pittsburgh area, I traveled throughout Nicaragua learning about the history, culture, customs, beliefs,
education system, health care system and political infrastructure for three months. Upon our return
from Nicaragua, I wrote curriculum for the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Latin American Studies.
