Experience includes jury and bench trial experience, along with appellate experience. Represent federal defense contractors before the Government Accountability Office on bid protests. Significant matters:

  • HPMDPC v. Bandikatla: prevailed in a two-week jury trial in the Southern District of New York. Defended client against contract claims and secured just the sixth civil verdict in the U.S. under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act.
  • E.C. v. Inglima-Donaldson, 470 N.J. Super. 41 (App. Div. 2021): represented school district in a case of first impression, obtained precedential decision holding the NJTCA's verbal threshold applies even after 2019 enactments expanding liability in sexual abuse cases.
  • C.W. v. Roselle Bd. of Educ., 474 N.J. Super. 644 (App. Div. 2023), leave to appeal denied, 254 N.J. 172 (2023): successfully represented school district on interlocutory appeal, persuaded Appellate Division that NJTCA's $3600 threshold applies even where plaintiff alleges sexual abuse.

  • Guerra v. Borough of Eatontown Planning Board: successfully represented developers in bench trial challenging site plan seeking to build apartments at the Monmouth Mall.
  • Seidle v. Neptune Twp.: succesfully represented Asbury Park police officers against constitutional rights and common law claims in high-profile wrongful death matter brought by the decedents of Tamara Seidle, who was murdered by her husband, a former Neptune police officer.

  • Alford v. Hayman, et al.: successfully defended seven prison officials during a high-profile, three-week jury trial in a civil rights case. One of the first cases challenging the use of administrative segregation in New Jersey. Trial garnered daily media coverage.
