Hi, my name is Ross. I am forty year old with extensive work experience in multi industries. A few thing that i have gained over the years working are, Detail-oriented with exceptional communication and project management skills. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in fast-paced environments. Recognized for taking proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, with focus on optimizing processes and supporting team objectives. But also keeping a open mind to new ways od ideas to do things.
From the summer of 2010 to the summer of 2013, I worked in the maritime yachting industry out of South Florida. I completed a boat manufacturing program at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC, in 2009, with the intention of working in local boatyards in the Wilmington, NC, area, but due to the 2008 crash, many local yards were not hiring. So I heard about the yachting industry in South Florida and made the move to pursue. Over a six-year period, I worked my way from deckhand to working with engineers, with full-time employment on three different superyachts. I learned a lot from a keen eye for detail, with a constant upkeep of the exterior of the boat from varnishing, waxing, and teak. Then eventually working in the engine room with engineers and learning all the mechanics of the boat, and the upkeep and maintenance it takes to keep it running. This included oil changes on engines and generators on schedule, changing gaskets, maintaining different systems from fuel filtering systems to water filtration systems, and more.
