Works as an Assistant Shift Supervisor under a Correctional Captain / Shift Supervisor managing the operations of a shift bracket.

• Supervises approx 7 Sergeants and 50 Officers during a 12 hour period while on duty.
• Conducts Roll Call passing any pertinent information to staff regarding the offender population or changes in policy.
• Coordinates and directs daily scheduled tasks while maintaining the safety and security of the offenders and facility.
• Assigns staff to Quick Response Teams and maintains accountability of equipment.
• Ensures staff and offenders follow facility rules and maintain compliance with set security policies and procedures.
• Remains alert for any disorder or tension within the offender population and responds appropriately.
• Maintains numerous daily logs and inspections; security inspections, vehicle inspections, cell sense reports, temperature logs and QRT assessments.
• Counsels and mentors staff as needed while addressing offender problems as they arise.
• Maintains staff fact files and completes performance evaluations yearly while taking disciplinary measures as needed.

Works as a Shift Supervisor of a shift bracket overseeing 1 Sergeant and 10 officers while maintaining the safety and security of the facility housing female juveniles.

• Conducts Roll Call passing any pertinent information to staff regarding student population or any changes to policy.
• Coordinates and directs daily scheduled activities while maintaining safety and security of students and facility.
• Ensures staff and students follow facility rules and regulations while maintaining set security procedures.
• Maintains various daily logs including chemical logs, security inspections and assessments and QRT assessments.
• Counsels and mentors the student population when necessary, discussing student problems as the arise.
• Maintains staff fact files and completes yearly performance evaluations while taking disciplinary actions on staff as needed.

Maintains Safety and Security while working as a Warrant Officer / Drill Instructor at a facility housing male juveniles.

• Supervises the student population during daily activities ensuring the facility rules and regulations are followed.
• Instructs students in proper military structure, terms, marching and discipline.
• Maintains own physical fitness while successfully passing all tests given by the facility.
• Controls or assist in student physical fitness training while also testing the student population weekly.
• Maintains all required forms relevant to the student population also issues minor or major reports as needed.

Works as a Sergeant of a unit overseeing approx 5 officers while maintaining safety and security of assigned post.

• Has experience working both Population and Segregation units housing adult offenders; 'C' cell house, 'B' cell house, IDU, RTU, NSB and PCU.
• Ensures both staff and offender population follows facility and department policies and procedures.
• Maintains staff fact files and completes annual performance evaluations while recommending disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Has experience working street checkpoints while maintaining

Reports to a drilling station one weekend a month and two straight weeks during the year for specialized training pertaining to military occupation.

Has been deployed in and out of country for various missions during service.
