Make daily rounds of the plant performing a variety of duties pertaining to water treatment, plant operation and hydroelectric facilities

• Collect water samples and conduct chemical test; analyze and record test results

• Perform all functions required of Water Production Operator including: The repair and maintenance of a variety of water facilities including valves, pumps, boosters, and wells; water sampling duties; hydrant flushing; and flow monitoring.

• Also, monitor and maintain chlorinators, arsenic and nitrate detectors at wells and booster stations.

• Successfully completed all duties of the Water Distribution Operator including: the repair and maintenance of a variety of water systems and facilities including water main lines, water meters, and fire hydrants; the repair of leaks in systems; installing and replacing customer service lines; valve exercising; and participated in marking underground utilities.
• Responsibilities also included the maintenance and upkeep of division vehicles and equipment.
• Had the opportunity to cross-train on multiple positions within the division including the Maintenance Worker II Water Production position which led to my promotion to water production.
• Also, temporarily filled; meter reader position in Customer Service Division from November 2009 to January 2010 until position was permanently filled.

• Successfully completed all maintenance functions including: trimming trees and shrubs.
• Preparing and applying a variety of pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other pest and disease eradication and control chemicals.
• Maintained the parks irrigation system; set irrigation clocks and controls; performed minor repairs including replacing broken heads and repairing minor breaks in the water lines; assisted with major irrigation repairs as necessary.
