While working at Washington Middle School, Cathy Shea, Tim Rea, and Rylee Sierra responded immedietly to a burning light fixture. Tim Rae retrieved a fire extinguisher, Rylee activated the nearest fire alarm pull station, and Cathy Shea evacuated building staff.
In addition, both Tim and Rylee contacted the Support Service Center and guided the Olympia Fire Department into the building, offering assistance as they arrived. Tim and Rylee organized the delivery of fans and other ventilation equipment from their nearby neighbor, Olympia High School, before OFD had even left.
