Summary

  • I am a self-employed artist whose work varies from delicate illumination and traditional Islamic painting to mixed media works which combine traditional arts with 3D objects created with lasers and CNC machines. My work has been exhibited at the Sedona Arts Collaborative, the Islamic Arts Festival in Houston and at the Phoenix Center for the Arts.
  • I am very experienced in several Adobe suite applications and have some training in website building using a variety of platforms.
  • I have taught Islamic art workshops at the Phoenix Art Museum.
  • I also use my skills for community volunteer work by creating promotional materials, photographing and teaching art workshops to benefit community non-profit organizations.
  • I was chosen as an artist in the first cohort of BIPOC teaching artists training followed by a six week long teaching residency of teaching art to youth.
  • My various work experiences have required a deep knowledge and skill for art, patience for teaching, event planning, budgeting and expense record keeping, as well as leading and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds.
