  • Participated in requirement workshop along with the Senior Architects to understand the integration requirements and perform detail design through delivery.
  • Played key role in Enterprise Design process and provided architectural direction to solutions using APIGEE, DataPower and IIB by gathering functional and non-functional requirements. Proposed a solution that will be able to meet the requirements.
  • Established multiple feature teams, measured velocity and coordinated parallel effort. Assessed organization’s abilities to meet business objectives while adopting Agile practices. Planned product releases and iterations, groomed product backlog, led sprint reviews, retrospectives and daily stand-ups and identified improvements.
  • Responsible for design and development of technical architecture for myHumana mobile application migration based on web services API: REST-ful and SOAP-based services, WS-*.
  • Designed and implemented proof of concept solution using Apigee, DataPower and IIB architecture by constructing new Apigee and DataPower services using standard messaging and information formats: XML, JSON.
  • Designed business process and mediation builds using IBM DataPower XI52 (MPG-Multi Protocol Gateway) device to secure and integrate the web services.
  • Designed common routines that can be used as a plug in components across Humana enterprise and architected various services using MPG’s, XMLFW’s, WSP’s on DataPower XI52 to support mediation services for end-to-end service architecture
  • Reviewed and enhanced the automated testing framework for Apigee, DataPower and IIB services: continuous integration, Jenkins, JMeter, Swagger Specs.

Dev Lead

Academy Sports Outdoors
04.2012 - 11.2014

I was involved in a project called “NEXUS RMS Project” with landscape of multiple legacy applications like PIM, WMS, Velocity, Firearms etc. These desperate multiple applications are integrated through Merchandise Management System (MMS) called Island Pacific (IP). Academy has planned to replace 'IP' system with new Merchandising system using Oracle Retail solution.

  • Involved in requirement gathering sessions along with the functional team to come up with proper mapping documents.
  • Designed and developed integration strategy proving best possible middleware solutions using WMB V8 and Data Power XI52 supporting Academy Sports + Outdoors SOA architecture.
  • Performed capacity planning which suits Academy’s SOA requirements. Created High Level Design Documents for the interfaces integrating legacy & online applications.
  • Involved in Project Planning, Resource Estimates.
  • Enhanced Cognizant gRATE (General Routing And Transformation Engine) framework which is used for generic routing and transformation to fit to the client needs.
  • Designed and architected interfaces integrating Oracle OID, PeopleSoft, ChainLink and UC4 systems using WMB V8. Designed and implemented Multi Instance and Active-Passive Queue Managers for fail over. Designed solutions to implement Pub/Sub technology for routing of messages in WMB using JMS nodes. Designed interfaces to use Web Services using SOAP Nodes for WS-Security and HTTP Nodes for RESTful services.
  • Designed and architected various services using MPG’s, XMLFW’s, WSP’s on DataPower XI52 to support mediation services for end-to-end service architecture.
  • Developed business process and mediation builds using IBM DataPower XI52 (MPG-Multi Protocol Gateway) device to secure and integrate the web services. Developed design pattern to communicate in between MQ 7.5 and web services using MPGW.
  • Played key role in providing solution using MQFTE for a requirement of managed file transfer without any transformations with less cost and high efficiency.

Middleware Developer

Ace Hardware
05.2009 - 03.2012

Ace is one of the largest and most powerful franchises in the world, servicing over 5,000 stores in more than 60 countries for more than 84 years. The company is headquartered in Oak Brook, IL, and provides helpful service and extensive product offering, including 65,000 products to help beautify, repair or invest in their homes throughout the country

  • Gathered the requirements from the client design the interfaces and recommend the architecture. Developed and implemented a release process to standardize the development process which included the release sequence, coding standards and code reviews.
  • Created documentation such as High Level Design (HLD) and documents addressing performance related enhancements in configuration, deployment and coding.
  • Configured of SAP adapters and loading the business objects(BOs) using ODA(Object Discovery Agent) which uses the RFC(Remote Functional Call) to load the metadata and involved in SAP IDOC and SAP BAPI mapping to create MRM using the DataObject domain. Designed interfaces to support HTTP protocols using SOAP nodes (SOAP Request, SOAP Input and SOAP Reply nodes) and changes are made in generic error handler to support exceptions generated by SOAP Nodes.
  • Designed message flows using EndpointLookup node which is used to dynamically route the service request to an available service endpoint that is governed in WSRR. Designed message flows to work as batch interface using Timer Nodes.
  • Provided the logic to route the messages to appropriate services dynamically according to the business function of the client. Designed and implemented interfaces which support the SOA architecture communication with a legacy application utilizing XML standard.
  • Designed and developed message flows and message sets using Aggregate Control, Aggregate Request and Aggregate reply nodes. Developed ESQL for calling stored procedures and external Java interfaces from Compute Nodes.

I was involved a project called “Claim Intake” involving online transactions like Telephonic Claim Intake, Claim Search, Group Policy Update. These applications run on multiple platforms inolving Sun Solaris and Mainframes. Many transactions are online transactions involving XML messages and few were legacy application. So, I developed message flows which interacts with legacy systems using COBOL and oracle databases using direct SQL queries and stored procedures in real time.
