I began my journey with Kedplasma as a Medical Screener in late November of 2022. In March 2023, I was honored to be promoted by my management team to the role of Area Expert within our Medical Screening Department. In this capacity, I was responsible for performing concurrent documentation while taking donor vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, hematocrit, and protein readings. Additionally, I conducted new donor intake procedures, ensuring that donors provided the proper documentation to verify their eligibility for donation.
As an area expert, i had the privilege of traveling to two different states to assist centers by training newly hired staff and supporting the launch of new company locations.
In April 2024, I was promoted to the Quality Assurance team as a QAB (Quality Assurance Back-up), This role is a more critical position, as it requires me to oversee the previous day's work conducted by our staff and ensure compliance with the SOP's (Standard operating procedures) that guide our operations. My responsibilities include reviewing physicals performed by Physician Substitutes, identifying and addressing errors across various areas such as the processing lab, screening, and donor floor, and documenting deviations as needed. In cases where errors are found, I conduct discussions with the employees involved to address the issue and provide guidance on how to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Another key responsibility in my current role is conducting monthly area observations to ensure all employees are performing their duties accurately and in compliance with established protocols.
I began as a floor staff employee, gaining experience and knowledge, which led to my promotion to management in August 2017. My responsibilities include preparing cash registers, managing weekly schedules, preparing cash deposit bags for pickup, and addressing guest concerns and operational issues. I also supervise concessions and assist with alcohol purchases when needed. My primary objective as a manager is to ensure a memorable customer experience, recognize staff efforts, and foster customer loyalty with friendly and welcoming service.
My responsibilities included assisting coworkers in preparing the venue for weddings and ensuring smooth operations during the events. I provided guests with appetizers, monitored their needs, and bussed tables during the dinner service. Additionally, based on the wedding package selected, I was tasked with serving as the attendant for the photo booth.
