In my current job I supervise low risk, minimum offenders. Most of my case load is DUI offenders, some theft and some assault cases.


Probation Supervision:

  • Meet with my clients on a regular basis either face to face, or on the telephone
  • Check in with clients to see how they are doing with the probation conditions set for them by the courts.
  • See if clients are participating in pro-social activities
  • Discuss with clients about either their achievements or violations.
  • Listen and empathize with them about the stories or situations that they tell me about and help them make positive decisions In their lives.
  • Encourage clients about employment opportunities or other community resources that are available to them.
  • Staff cases with probation supervisors, fellow co-workers , District Attorneys, and Public Defenders to modify behavior changes.
  • Research and make referral recommendations for different treatment options to best help the needs of my clients.
  • Collaborates well with other judicial districts.
  • Work with clients that have different mental health impairments.
  • Follow up immediately with clients on missed appointments, drug tests, and positive test results either by phone or in person.
  • Have hard conversations with clients when they are struggling with issues in addiction and recovery.

  • Documenting thorough and concise narratives on client contacts and interactions on a daily basis in JPOD System, Citrix System and Scram Systems.
  • Enter accurate codes in different technology systems.
  • Keep an updated and organized calendar.

  • Out of State Probation Supervision:
  • Research places near where they are located for certified/qualified treatment options to refer them to. I help them find community service options near them.
  • Meet with clients regularly by telephone.
  • Assist probation clients with locating testing locations near them.


Community Service Case Manager for Chaffee and Park Counties:

  • Contact clients regularly to get them enrolled with their community service.
  • Refer clients out for services in all areas of Colorado.
  • Research different non profit opportunities that become available.
  • Double check and make sure clients followed through with their hours to complete and make sure they did those hours at legit non profit entities.
  • Send updated completion or non completion reports to the courts, probation officers, and attorney's.


Court Duties:

  • Attend court regularly either in person or via web-ex to report to the courts how clients are doing with probation, community service, or monitored sobriety.
  • Files updated and accurate reports regularly to the courts
  • Testify regularly in court on behalf of probation cases, monitored sobriety, community service, and technology clients
  • Court preparation ahead of time to testify, and double check my facts on the cases.
  • Reviews court orders frequently


Technology Monitoring:

  • Setup and monitor clients that are on technology supervision, such as Scram ankle monitor's, Remote Breathalyzer's, and In Home Detention Monitors.
  • Keep accurate narratives on how client's are doing on the monitoring and if and when they have violations.
  • Process payments for clients.
  • Keep track of payments and fees for every client.
  • Report to the courts, attorneys, and probation officers on how their monitoring is going.
