  • At the Beach Club, I am in charge of making members feel comfortable. I set up chairs and umbrellas for them as they please and tend to their needs and wants. Along with this, I am responsible for keeping the property tidy. I work the opening shift, so in the morning I clean our property: sweeping, cleaning up trash, making sure the bathrooms are clean, etc. This job has increased my social skills by allowing me to communicate back and forth with members.

Volleyball

I played volleyball for around three years and thoroughly enjoyed it. It taught me how to work as a team and how to communicate with one another.

Babysitting

I took on babysitting as a way to make some extra money and it quickly became a fun activity for me. I enjoy spending time with children and acting as an authority figure for them and someone they can go to in need of help.

Volunteer Work

  • I spent my junior year of highschool volunteering at Gibson Charter Elementary School tutoring fourth and fifth graders in their math, science, and english homework. I earned over 100 community service hours from this activity, but above that, I was able to interact with students younger than me as a one on one experience. It taught me leadership by having an authoritative role in their lives, and communication by talking and helping them through their challenges. Working with young kids is a different experience, but it was something I thoroughly enjoyed.

Volunteer Work

  • On Saturday mornings, I would wake up early to walk the beach and cleanup trash for Fill-A-Bag. It was a nice experience that allowed me to not only spend time with myself but also help the environment. I did this as much as I could throughout highschool and had a great time listening to music and cleaning up the beach. I earned around 30 hours doing this.
