Shortly after graduating college in 2019, I was forced to make the difficult decision to postpone my entrance into the corporate workforce because of health complications. After putting my well-being at the forefront, I am now eager to get to work and enter the world of science again.
Over the last few years I have gained the unique perspective of experiencing healthcare through a patient lens. I became the most motivated, determined, resilient version of myself in order to conquer the challenges I was faced with. All of the planning, organization, communication skills, and resourcefulness that those situations required have only made me more capable. It expanded my research and writing skills, scientific/medical knowledge, and cultivated the utmost drive to problem solve and take on challenges. Most importantly, I haven't let these difficult experiences make me cynical or hopeless, I've used them to fuel my passion for science, research, healthcare, and helping other people.
