Evaluating Percent Consonants Correct Using Developmental Speech Sound Acquisition Data, Samantha McGrath, Chloé Kelleher, Cassidy Carroll, Jennifer Gerometta PhD, CCC-SLP, Using the CHILDES open access language sample transcriptions, seven speech samples were chosen of children between the ages of 3;5 and 8;0. The speech samples were analyzed using Shriberg’s percent consonant correct method, and then analyzed again in a similar manor except this time errors were only report for age appropriate speech sounds. In the end an intelligibility was calculated at the end to compare the other results too. Results showed that the modified method of calculating percent consonant correct was more closely aligned with intelligibility scores., 04/2018, Iona College Scholars Day
