I am a believer in “Time is the new Currency” and I represent a resourceful SME with a 100% positive attitude towards a healthy and productive work environment. I have switched my technocrat profile into a business analyst in the Investment Banking department under Risk Finance and Treasury division around a year ago.
So, having worked in the Information industry for the past 16 years or so with the technical skill set and capacity primarily in the Banking and Financial Services domain, I am now a full time business analyst in the Banking and Financial System domain. The transition happened systematically to ensure that my skills (both technical and financial business related) are not lost in translation and my technical experience compliments my business analyst stint effectively. To elaborate more, my latest role was of a Tech Business Analyst in Portfolio Management Department at Barclays for around 5 years. The role ensured that I get the necessary platform to utilize my technical skillset while aligning it with the business needs though most of my projects in PMIT was for internal business users.
While, I take pride in claiming that I have successfully migrated certain legacy systems to the cutting edge platforms, worked as a resourceful bridge between IT and business users to understand the financial requirements, convert them into business requirements & see them through to the delivery & maintenance stage, I am now working in a capacity to work with external business users and investors to generate and analyze business requirements for data and tech teams.
As an Assistant Vice President in the Asset & Liability Management Team in Barclays, I am taking care of analyzing the bank merger processes (between Barclays and other entities) in terms of balance sheet and off balance sheet requirements between the entities.
I am developing my profile currently as a Merger and Acquisition SME, mostly at the Buy-side and my past experience to deliver end to end technical projects is surely adding great values in anticipating the requirements which are mostly not visible during the business analysis processes.
