• Facilitate resolution of customer inquiries concerning billing issues, insurance verifications, and other account-related matters.

Triage patients which means to take vital signs, take history on the patient about their reason for the visit, enter all information into the emr (electronic medical record). Put patients into rooms for the physician. I also assist in the lab reading urinalysis tests, performing glucose testing and enter labs into the computer as needed to be sent out. Also, perform EKGs if needed.

While on this job my duties were to greet customers and seat them, take orders and clean tables.

I was enrolled in college here from August 2015 to May 2016 for medical assisting, I also earned my Associate of Applied science degree and a certificate in phlebotomy.

While here as a intern for a month I learned different job responsibilities that medical assistants have. I learned how to triage patients, perform some shots and ekgs. I also learned how the front office works.

While going to school here I earned my basics to go into a program for occupational therapy assisting, but before I could enter the program was closed. I transferred to mid-south community college in august of 2015 to finish my basics and earn my degree.

Some of duties while on this job were to work on printers when they were down and print off ads for salesmen to get out for the week.
