
I am a third-year graduate student and Ballmer Scholarship recipient, attending City University of Seattle in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I have a strong foundation in working with children and adolescents, but I am eager to expand my skills by engaging in work with diverse populations. I am particularly passionate about working with and advocating for underserved and marginalized communities and individuals.

Role included assisting in implementing behavior intervention plans for Tier 2 and 3 students, running groups for students that focused on social-emotional development, teaching Second Step curriculum, creating school wide behavior expectation videos and materials, creating incentive and behavior charts for students, and tracking behavior data for all students, working collaboratively with school counselor, psychologist, and administration to meet the needs of students.
While working toward my BA in Human Services, I had the opportunity to complete an internship under Elizabeth Hughes, counselor at Centennial Elementary. During this time, I provided small group interventions to students who exhibited behavioral problems and lacked developmentally appropriate social and emotional skills. Under Elizabeth's and my instructor's guidance, I worked collaboratively with other staff members to implement interventions that targeted the unique needs of individual students. I maintained student records and utilized data to make informed intervention plans for students.
