During my years as a Pathology Technician, the work was fast paced and required close attention to detail. Any mistake that was made could cost a patient their life. I demonstrated proficiency with grossing techniques, specimen description via dictation, and frozen section technique, as well as a plethora of administrative tasks.
While I loved the medical sciences and the unique nature of the field of pathology, my true desire has always been to work with dogs. I fostered for many months last year, but had to take a break due to the mental toll it was taking on my two older dogs. While I intend to still foster when I am able, I would really thrive in an environment where I can interact with dogs on a daily basis. I have been a dog owner for the majority of my life and a dog enthusiast extraordinaire. I spent my youth poring over dog breed books and imagining the huge pack I would one day own. While that is likely not in the cards in my reality, I still have the passion which fueled those dreams. I have the skill and common sense to interact with dogs with varying personalities and can pick up on many of their signals and cues. I feel like I would be a valuable member of the team and can handle many different responsibilities efficiently and with a high level of attention to detail.
