I was eager to get a job and start making my own money as soon as I was able to jump into the work field. I applied for a cashier job at my local grocery store as soon as my 16th birthday passed. I was hired immediately and would soon be there after school and on the weekends. I enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. About a year later I was offered a promotion to be a front end supervisor. This is where I learned all of my customer service skills by answering phone calls, helping customers with returns and exchanges, keeping track of the cashiers money & making sure im available to help all workers & customers as needed. After working at store level for about 6 years I was promoted again to working in the corporate office/warehouse. This is where I learned all about billing/receiving. My current job duties include, keeping track of all 9 of our stores summary sheets where you can find credit card totals, cashier shortages/overages, bank deposits, tax exemptions, balance reports, etc. I also bill out and receive the grocery, deli & produce orders from our stores. I am looking to take my skills to another level and see what else the world has to offer in a new work environment.
