I am a CNOR certified Registered Nurse with over sixteen years of nursing experince. Scrubbing and circulating for many services has given me experience with a diverse array of medical conditions. I championed infection control, patient safety, and sharps safety at multiple hospitals. I’m a team player and consistent top performer, a peer once said “I wish we had 20 of you.” Newly hired nurses consider me one of the best preceptors on the team. While I enjoyed working on a Quality Improvement team to improve patient outcomes, I would like to pivot back to working directly with patients. I am passionate about behavioral health and the access needed for patients. I would like to work on a team collaborating with doctors and advanced practice providers in providing excellent care to our patients.

• Changed career paths to a Patient Safety Nurse Specialist after 15 years in the Operating Room.
• As a patient Safety Specialist worked with my team to improve patient outcomes regarding Hospital Acquired Infections, falls, and pressure ulcers.
• Attended multidisciplinary meetings and educated floor RNs Regarding Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Suggested storing trach kits in the OR core vs. central sterile for rapid access and thus better outcomes for patients needing emergency access.
• Collaborated with management and the anesthesia department to make emergency blood bank access more efficient.
