Led research under a professor of Bio & Oral Med, University of Illinois Chicago - College of Dentistry. I implemented a project on the complexities of the oral microbiome and how having a human stem cell transplant can affect different phyla of species.

• Adhered to all safety protocols while observing patient care activities in the clinical setting.
• Maintained accurate records of observations and continuously jotted down observations made while shadowing doctors or nurses.
• I assisted doctors during patient visits and recorded information into an online database for them which also gave me an introduction to HIPAA guidelines. I also documented processes for office productivity. I was able to familiarize myself with basic medical terminology that physicians use when examining a patient.
