Late identification of autism in our family led me to return to higher education in search of a greater understanding of how best to support myself and my children. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I realized there is a great need for more autistic led research, as the academic understanding of autism trails greatly behind the autistic experience. My goal is to improve the quality of life of autistic individuals by educating the general population on the strengths of autism and contributing to the growing body of autistic led research.
