Between spending over twelve years successfully managing a household as a stay at home mom and then returning to the work force, I have been able to develop a strong foundation of punctuality, time management, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
I have worked at Boscov's for just over four years. While I initially started as a "floater", gaining experience in various departments, I have spent the majority of my time there as the department lead of the bargain outlet area. In this role, I oversee all incoming merchandise, making sure that it is accurately entered into our inventory system and correctly priced before being placed on the sales floor. I maintain all merchandise displays in a neat and orderly manner that is both visually appealing and easily shoppable for the customer. Additionally, I am responsible for setting up displays and properly signing any weekly highlighted sales items. I also manage inventory control issues within my department including; price mark ups and mark downs, internet orders, intercompany transfers and salvaging damaged and unusable items.
For nearly 18 years I have worked seasonally on the Copenhaver farm in various roles, mostly in the role of green bean grader. As a green bean grader I am looking for and removing any green beans or foreign debris that don't meet the the standard of quality expected by both the farmer and consumer. It is a faced paced position the requires both focus and attention to detail.
