Prepare outgoing referrals.
Carefully review medical records for accuracy and completion as required by insurance companies or other physicians.
Responsible for communicating with referring physician when additional information is required to complete referral.
Direct patients to exam rooms, fielded questions, and prepare for physician examinations.
Obtain client medical history, medication information, symptoms, and allergies.
Perform medical records management, including filing, organizing and scanning documents.
Collect and document patient medical information such as blood pressure and weight.
Call and fax pharmacies to submit prescriptions and refills.
Document vital signs and health history for patients in clinic and hospital environments.
Schedule appointments, register patients.
Assist physicians with minor surgeries, including preparing operating room.
Complete clinical procedures and gathered patient data for interpretation by physician.
Oriented and train new staff on proper procedures and policies.
Update inventory, expiration and vaccine logs to maintain current tracking documentation.
Verify patient insurance coverage and collect required co-payments.
Administrate vaccines.
